Larryville Campout FAQ
Information & Frequently Asked Questions.
Where is this bullshit? Like Exactly where?
1299 E 600 Rd, Lawrence, KS 66047
Bloomington West Campground, Clinton Lake.
Please carpool, there is limited parking available.
Dogs. I can’t leave home without them. What do I do?
This is a semi-dog-friendly campground as long as we keep them on our campsite and on a leash. There might be at least a few of the critters so yours won’t be lonely. You are more than welcum to bring your furry friends, but they need to be able to spend ‘quality time’ with their owners for the duration. Chaining/Leashing your pets for times of eating or a bout of explosive diarrhea are fine. However, the owner needs to take responsibility for their pet at all other times. We do not want pets tied up and left alone (to look all sad and be all annoying) while the owner plays 2 hour session of Beer Pong or runs a 3 hour trail. If you are bringing your dog, please make it a chill ass dog that can travel with you during your various misadventures. Failure to comply will result in the pet owner being asked to take their pet home. This is not a banishment for the owner, once you’ve taken your dog somewhere for proper care you are more than welcum to return.
Can I bring a virgin?
Absolutely! We love them! As always, they’re your responsibility to water and feed. Don’t leave your virgin unattended. Larryville reserves the right to mock your virgin and/or you at any moment.
What should I bring?
Bug spray and a citronella candle! Bring a change of clothes for after trail, apply DEET, and shower to defend yourself.
Otherwise, the Hash campout standards:
- Extra snacks (if you are always hungry/get hangry easily)
- Bug spray with DEET
- Citronella candle
- Personal toilet paper
- Drinking vessel
- Sun block
- Ping pong balls
- Condoms
- Flashlight and/or headlamp
- Bathing suit
- Kayaks and water toys
- Towels
- Extra clothes
- Haberdashery
- Water guns
- New shoes
- Various yard games (volleyball, frisbee, corn hole, horseshoes)
- Camping supplies (tent, sleeping bag, pillow)
What amenities are provided?
The campsite has personal, well-lit, and clean, but un-plumbed toilets. Hot showers are available ~1 mile from the campsite. Running drinking water is also available on site. We will be providing two generators to power lights and music. Clinton Lake may ask us to power them down after midnight.
On the fun side, we have a volleyball pit, horseshoe pit, two fire pits, and nearby water access. So bring games and water toys!
